Samantha West Design
Client is a freelance graphic designer looking for non-traditional branding photos for her website. She wanted her visuals to reflect her outdoorsy and colorful personality.
We captured a banner video to use on her website as well as photos and a vertical video to share across her social media marketing channels.
I have been a follower of Katie’s as well as the Creator Club Podcast for close to two years and I feel my skillset as a freelance videographer and small content creator could bring so much value to your team as a video editor. I am passionate about content creation and align with your mission in helping creators build their brand without the stress of video editing.

Other video Editing highlights
Repurposing content
I find that a lot of podcasts use clips from their videos to repurpose them into a Reel or YouTube Short.
I pulled a snippet from a talking portion of a long-form YouTube video to create a short-form video. I added supporting visuals to keep it engaging.
Graphics & sound effects
My most recent Reel from my new series on Instagram.
This showcases graphics, sound effects, and interesting text to enhance the inspiration-style video.
Brand sponsorship & client experience
An example of my commitment to client experience - the brand requested 1 revision with having the editing panel of their software visible in the video, something I originally cut out to try to highlight the before and after edits of the photos.
I was able to make the revision and send the deliverable within 24 hours and they were happy with the result.
Lifestyle video editing
Created for a UGC collaboration with a haircare brand, this is an example of lifestyle editing that the brand requested from me to build relatability with their audience and customers.
Because this video is lifestyle-focused, I was subtle with the inclusion of their products. The brand was happy with the creative direction and quick-paced editing.
Masking & storytelling
I used text-masking at the beginning of this video for visual interest. While the remainder of the video has simple cuts, it still supports the narration of the voiceover by using a cinematic-editing style.
Following creative briefs
The same haircare brand requested I do a hair tutorial. During the editing process, I made sure to include short close-up shots of the products, hair washing, etc. to enhance the demonstration of the voice over. They were pleased with the outcome of this video.
